I think the first PL defeat of the season will be away at Liverpool.

Can see it being a game similar to last year at their place, although i dont think there will be a 3 goal winning margin, will be something a lot closer.

You are joking? Liverpool are not playing well at all as a team. They've had one good half all season and I fully expect us to beat them at Anfield.

The only games I'm concerned about are in the Champions League. I think we'll struggle in Napoli.

i can see us having a tough game at liverpool napoli might be the easyer game 'we'l see'

All the top teams are in the same mix as us, it's what makes champions.

I'd be surprised if were still not top of the league at Christmas and in all the other competitions although maybe not as group winner in CL

Losing at Liverpool would be a pissers given their recent performances at home to Norwich & Swansea.

The only down side in all of this for me is the cost of getting to them all

If we were to win Napoli, what would you think to putting out the second side against Bayern so as to rest key individuals for Chelsea and arsenal?

Only this.

If we win in Napoli can still win the group if we beat bayern at home 3-0.

2-0 might be enough depending on who has best goal difference.

Yes it is a very tough run of games. I think we have to focus on the longer term objectives. At the end of this run I would be happy to still have a lead in the league and still be in the chumps league. Not bothered about the Carling Cup so much (although we are only a couple of steps away from Wembley again).

It may well be we have to settole for a draw here and there.

We've got great depth in most positions precisely to cope with this kind of fixture congestion. No doubt we will drop the occasional points though.
Personally there are two things that concern me slightly.
The Napoli fixture which will be very tough and potentially crucial from a psychological point of view going out of the CHampions league at the group stages could dent our confidence.
The other is our reserve Centre backs, I have not seen much of Kolo this season and hope he could help out but Savic looks like he still very definately a work in progress rather than a reliable back up at the top level. I would not like to have to use him in the Chumps league or agaisnt tough premier league opposition.

Savic played against Villarreal

He was barely tested. The defence looked poor against QPR. Without Vinnie we're in trouble at the back

Wouldn't bat an eyelid if we lose in the Carling Cup thingy.

And I would gladly sacrifice the Chumps League, if it meant us maintaining the lead in the League.

This season, the League is the Grail, next year will be an repeat assault on the Chumps.

Lets just (fingers crossed!) get a title under our belts first.
My thoughts exactly. All out for the league and to defend our FA Cup
