6 months and what a difference for Cooky

ban every shitehawk journo from the ground, put a blanket ban on player interviews, if they want to find anything about city they would have to go through city,s website, make kin life unbearable for the lieing backstabbing tosspots?

There is no higher profile CEO at any Football Club. I just have it at the back of my mind that one of the scummy newspapers (probably NOTW) will try and set Cooky up with a Honeytrap, so Garry, if you are reading this, beware!

Well said Oakie.

Dave I agree with you, we simply have to forgive and forget, and start getting behind all things City.......Even David Potatoe head Platt, can't stand the bloke myself but will bury the hatchett.

Cook also proclaimed that City were on course to be the "biggest and best club in the world".

You have to admit that this does indeed appear to be the objective and that he is moving us nearer to it. Champions League qualification will move us into a different orbit again at which point you'd have to say that his goal will be entirely achievable and that he had that vision right from the outset when it seemed far less plausible.

Pehaps not such a Mad Hatter after all eh? ;-)

Keep it up Cooky.

He's either learnt his lesson or been told to keep a low profile but whatever it is it's worked, he's not given anybody any more ammunition to shoot him or us with.

I've always though Cook a bit unlucky in the way he's been vilified in certain quarters. Yes, he's been a little naive at points but this was all new to him. I think the club has moved on massively in the last 12 months and Cook has to be praised for that.

He was getting murdered before Christmas and someone on 606 put his personal email up for everyone to email and slate him and push him to quit. I found this ridiculous so sent an email offering my support, and that of many other City fans and that we knew he would be able to turn it round.

I was surprised when I got a heart felt reply from the man himself and he spoke of life being particularly challenging for him at the time both on a professional and a personal level and the honesty I felt it was written with warmed me to him further.

I hope he's gotten over his problems as I think he's doing a sterling job these days and it'd be a shame to see him go. Some forget just how big a transformation was required at City.

My understanding is that by taking the heat for the Hughes sacking, and THAT press conference, he actually increased his standing in the eyes of our owners.

Overall, the job being done by the executive committee in this transfer window seems to be excellent. Signing Silva, IMO, is as big a coup as signing Tevez or Robinho...

I heard that too. Cook was a Hughes fan and didn't agree with his sacking.

By taking the flack for the way the sacking was handled the owners felt indebted to him.

As long as he keeps his mouth shut in public he'll avoid flack.

I'll always think he's a liability, fullstop. He can't redeem himself in my eyes whatever he does.

Silva = Coup
Tevez = Coup
Robinho = Statement that the club can be held to ransom for any old player... Not a coup. if he had played well and been on top of his game then it would have been
