No real issue with letting Cancelo go if he's become a disruptive influence, but not replacing him when we're already lacking a proper left-back is extremely stupid imo. Weakening the squad at such an important stage of the season defies logic.

Always sad to see a great player leave, but Pep's absolutely ruthlessness in clearing out those he doesn't want is one of the key reasons for his success IMO.

I agree with this but I also wish the club were more ruthless with bringing players in.

I would wager he has lost more big games than won. Two key ones against Scousers for starters. It's a fair bet if he had started LB on Fri, Saka would have had a field day vs. being buried at the bottom of Ake's pocket. Keep in mind Laporte can also play LB and we almost certainly will buy in the summer
