Bad behaviour towards manager? So bench him to next 5-7 games or fine him?!! Sending him out without a replacement in middle of season for free when we are short of fullbacks is beyond insane
So give him 5-7 more games to be toxic in the dressing room and continue unsettling the entire squad? Right. Excellent plan.

Clearly some lucky people here have never worked in a toxic work environment and/or are incredibly naive. Plus the disrespect to the management of our club, that they would have done this if there were any other way, is mind-boggling. It's crystal clear from all that's gone on that there wasn't any other option than parting ways.

Isn't that what started his behaviour being benched? I think he'd of just caused more chaos and it'd of got to a point were he'd no longer be turning up to train.
We’ve no idea. The only people who know are drawing a line under it. Both Jao and Pep wanted the exit so that’s a win win.

Get him out of the club, no room for bad apples. In the long run, and the short term, it will benefit the club.

No one knows what has gone on, but Cancelo isn't bigger than the Manager let alone the club. Pep and the management at City are paid to make these difficult decisions. We have to trust that they have acted in the best interests of City.
You say no one knows what happened but it must of be really bad, whatever Cancelo did, for City to loan him out to a main rival on such short notice.

As far as I know

He is the only fullback who plays in the opposite side of his prefered foot

And in spite of that he was selected in the PL & CL team of the season.
Last season he was superb but it seems to be a pattern at every club he plays for,his form drops off the cliff and he becomes moody and disruptive.

When he is bad, he is shocking.

As said before, he is a huge talent but in terms of character he is wanting.

We might have done well to loan Jao out before Cjty’s media machine scuppered it. For example, “Fatso” Phillips might have been unloanable. That said, Kalvin could probably cover at fullback if we were desperate.

That's true. You say fatso but I'd take being a pound behind him.

Will he be back next season
There’s an outside chance he will be. I can see Jao doing well at Bayern so it might come down to whether we are willing to compromise on the price or sell him to Chelsea.

Agents and players rock the boat to get a move. It’s been happening for a century or more. We might not like it but it’s part of the game.

No chance unless Pep leaves.

Why are people trying to convince themselves he isn't a top class player?

I'm glad he's left after the circumstances but he's absolutely one of the very top fullbacks in the world. We've seen it first hand. Course he has parts of his game that could be better but he's top class.

The club has done the right thing but like him or not, top player and will likely be excellent for Bayern.

If Pep is comfortable with the options we have, I'm happy to back him.
One of the world's top defenders who was a bloody awful defender, ok
