Rico has been learning the system that pg wants since moving up in the academy, so its now natural.
I think a lot of this 'Rico is going to be a world beater etc' is Pep's positive psychology, he can see that he needs confidence instilled in him..so Pep is going 100 mph.. In reality he's not a bad youngster, may come good but also may end up playing at Huddersfield for example...too early to say and it's crazy to start believing this kidology, surely we can all see he's just a good lad, trying hard fo us..that should be it

Saw Laporte in a restaurant on Hawthorn Lane in Wilmslow, today. Knocked on the window and gave him the thumbs up. Blanked me, the tw*t. He can feck off, too...

Sorry mate, I’m eating lunch and you’re doing this, I’m blanking you as well

We lost a left back and a right back with this transfer, some players are going to really need to step up
We lost a prima donna who stirred up a big fuss because he wasn't selected regularly as part of our first team.

We now have Haaland - we're trying to play in a manner that suits him.

Haaland is - however - not a false 9. He's not someone who buzzes about midfield and links play and creates chances.

So we've changed our attack - a bit.

One of our backs must step into midfield and link play - one-touch passing. Lewis excels at this.

However, the back that steps into mid isn't relieved of defensive obligations. Lewis is a work in progress in this department - but he's better than Cancelo.

Bottom line - if Cancelo wants to play for us - step up your game! Defense is a big part of your play.

Cancelo was dropped because Rico is better at what we now need.
