So he’s gonna be another Alvarez with looks, let’s hope he chips in with as many goals as he did when here, but he’s not a 9 as I thought he could be utilised that’s for sure
He played at his exact position. Not a striker and played out of position. He's a fantastic player and we'll see the very best of him in the coming weeks and next season. Unlucky not to score today but finished it very well, new team, new country, he's doing absolutely fine in my eyes. His performance against Newcastle was there for everybody to see.
He played at his exact position.
If Haaland gets injured long term, we’d be fucked. I thought we were signing a Haaland back up that could also play in other positions. That’s no criticism towards him, just find it strange that he hasn’t played up top when Haalands been injured. So he’s gonna be another Alvarez with looks, let’s hope he chips in with as many goals as he did when here, but he’s not a 9 as I thought he could be utilised that’s for sure
What position do you think did he play for Frankfurt? Exactly in the middle with the freedom to come from the left.We must have watched two different games then pal

Think our problem is sideways, backwards.. and we can't even get the ball through to our 9.
Even Erling gets frustrated at times.. so can't hold it against Omar.
Alvarez was anonymous in lots of games and his first touch was infuriatingly average. Never a Tevez calibre player in a million years.Selling Alvarez is Peps biggest mistake, that kid is head and shoulders above Marmoush
But how both wingers were today, attacking the fullbacks, Haaland would have had a few I’m convinced he would have
They were playing with 11 men behind the ball. There was like no space.
Savinho and Doku really tried but none of the balls got through. Also Liverpool always had the defensive headers.
So other than Omar Marmoush's shot that curled in a bit too much towards Allison and the off side goal.. I don't think we actually really did something that would put the ball in a place where a 9 could attack it.
Not much as a 9. His game isn’t facing his own goal. How often did he actually play upfront for Frankfurt? I was under the impression he could play that role comfortably but to me it looks like he has no idea at all how to play as a striker, the instincts just aren't there, plenty of times he should have been getting himself into the box and instead hes wandering out wide, seems like a strictly anywhere across the attacking midfield player.
None of the other wingers/attacking midfielders can play as a striker so let's hope he picks it up quickly because we desperately need somebody who can play as a striker in Haalands absence.
Is that what you thought after the Newcastle game?Speed and taking on a player....world class.
End product.....Stockport County.
Never heard of him mateUndecided as to whether he has what it takes for us or not. One thing is sure, he's being asked to carry a heavy load in the absence of Haaland for someone new to the club. Would like to have seen Mwamba (a proper striker) come on in the second half for Foden but he wasn't even on the bench.
