7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

Let's be fair, that assist was him trying to take on three players, that wasn't a pass and he's lucky Erling got on the end of it.

He was better today, but still I don't think he has the technical ability to play in this team. the reality is what he offers which is great pressing and effort, and an eye for goal from distance, we could've gone and gotten another Alvarez/Jesus from South America developed them and sold them, and wouldn't have to pay as much as we are paying him.
It wasn’t a pass? What the fuck is it then.

Who does have this mysterious technical ability, because so far they aren’t showing it.

Why did he get taken off? He set up one goal and set up Haaland early but Haaland missed - much more of a threat than any other of our wingers.
He should be on the pitch because not many of our team know where the net it
He was taken off because the only attacking option we had on the bench was a left winger, marmoush hasnt looked comfortable anywhere but left wing so we naturally take him off to bring on the other option.

He also didnt have a very good game. Yes he got an assist but it was complete luck. It was a sadly trademark shit first touch followed by some scrambled attempt to bundle his way through 3 players that happened to fall kindly to a razor sharp and alert Haaland who turned what would have otherwise been a wasted chance into a goal. The ball to Bobb was good but otherwise was a poor game.

That was a clear pass to Haaland, he poked it past the defenders leg, it was deliberate and not a miscontrolled ball

So a fucked up pass was an assist but two actual passes were fucked up and should have been another two assists. Yet he’s the one hooked.
Fucking criminal Bobb stayed on

Since when has Doku or Marmoush excelled in any position other than that left wing role? Bobb stayed on because we had no other options. Had savinho/foden/cherki been on the bench, one of them surely would have replaced him. We had no other options to replace Bobb. We had one to replace Marmoush. Its nothing deeper than that.

Put Marmoush on the right then and put Doku on the left or put Nunes on the wing where he has delivered assists. He’s not glued to that position is he. The whole team moves around

It's him trying to meg the player and get through himself, and none of them seemingly have the quality we need. I think Marmoush, Doku, and Savinho should all be moved on, and we should buy proven quality to come in and play.

Marmoush has had limited time on the right and been awful so why do that? He didnt deserve to stay on. Bobb could easily have been subbed too but we had no options to replace him so he stays on.

Both Bobb and Marmoush played as 10s today. They were too narrow to be called wingers.
well Bobb certainly was more wide

they both are number 10's but they are being used as wide players for us....both are ont he touchline at times...we just dont have that Leroy Sane type player who is a proper wide attacker - Sane could also come inside as well....

that is the difference in quality right there

Using inside forwards means we need width from the full backs, which were not really getting, so the other team can defend deep and narrow and shut down all spaces.

Good assist today, and a great cross for Bobb in the second half that should’ve been converted.

His touch still looks a bit heavy at the moment, and he’s indecisive at times, but don’t think playing on the left really suits him. He’s got goals in him though, which we lack at the moment. Could do with finding a system that accommodates him as a second striker for certain games.

Was the one making things happen today. I don't mind his rough edges too much - he's explosive which we haven't really had in a forward player since the season before last with Foden. I'm excited to see them both together a bit more, there might be a potential partnership there - although we need to hope Phil gets over that ankle injury first
