Regardless of missing the sitter, i don't see the problems with our team being so much with Sterling. Sterling has plenty of quality that he brings to the team overall and has been really developing nicely over the years.

Our defense was playing a relative high line yesterday and got absolutely punished for it with strikers playing of their back and evading the offside wall. We are often rightfully called a fantastic counter team but here we got some serious taste of our own medicine and that imho shouldn't have been.

I am going to say something that I'm sure will rattle people on here, but I don't care, because it's true: Raheem has literally done more in the CL knockouts than Aguero has, in half the time. Yes, that's right, this shit finisher who can't deliver in big games has been more influential in knockout ties than Sergio Aguero has in nearly 10 years.
And pointing that out doesn't mean I'm not giving Kevin credit lol... Kevin would slap you round the head for slagging off Sterling like this. The two of them are the only players we've got who can hold their heads high when it comes to the CL these last two seasons

Maybe blame the manager for setting the team up in a way that didn't create the most possible chances, when he knew fully well we've got two forwards who miss 1-2 sitters a game, considering that's what's worked in 90% of our games over the last 3 years?

Edit: Wait lol, I've just re-read what you said about the Madrid game. Are you serious? He scored at the 9th minute when neither team was dominating. It was an evenly balanced first half. And it is an indisputable fact that he changed the game when he came on at the Bernabeu, why are you so intent on downplaying his influence?

Changed the game at the Bernabeau ? I don't remember that. I do remember he missed another howler to make it 3 1 near the end . As for his goal at the Etihad anyone can score tap ins and he is the king if them.

Love Raz but he’s no Sane (on the left). He needs to to back to the right wing where he can actually fully embrace his skill set and bag 20+goals with 10-15 assists and not 30+3.

That sane/Jesus/raheem lineup was absolutely perfect. There’s 15-20 goals+assists sprinkled about from our top three.

He can beat his man with ease and then do absolutely nothing with his left foot on the end line which erases an incredible edge we had with sane. These edges matter and balance is key for our system.

Sane would've scored that.

I've said it before and I'll stick to my guns in that we will regret not giving him more game time over sterling.
Well, yes, because he would have used the correct foot for the chance. Sterling has to contort himself to play it with his right.

I hate the use of inverted wingers.
