I've always preferred him on the right, its much more difficult for him to miss when a LW is smashing an early ball in for him. His positional sense is unreal and in many games he will be the difference. My issue is however, that when we our up against it, I don't think he has the quality to be the guy that wins up games. I know that Sane had a higher potential than him, its unfortunate how that panned out, but we can't rely on sterling to be our main man!

Seriously? If Aguero’s foot was an inch to the left last season we’d be living in a world where a Sterling hat trick sent us to the semis... Even this year he scored vs Madrid and won the pen at the Bernabeu after coming on and changing the game.
You say he scored against Madrid like he we were getting dominated and he absolutely turned the tide by scoring against the run of play. We were creating a chance every minute. Fuck do you expect? We lead every table in Europe for chance creation and yet our finishing isn't good enough. Give some credit to Kev for carrying this team.

I am going to say something that I'm sure will rattle people on here, but I don't care, because it's true: Raheem has literally done more in the CL knockouts than Aguero has, in half the time. Yes, that's right, this shit finisher who can't deliver in big games has been more influential in knockout ties than Sergio Aguero has in nearly 10 years.
And pointing that out doesn't mean I'm not giving Kevin credit lol... Kevin would slap you round the head for slagging off Sterling like this. The two of them are the only players we've got who can hold their heads high when it comes to the CL these last two seasons

Maybe blame the manager for setting the team up in a way that didn't create the most possible chances, when he knew fully well we've got two forwards who miss 1-2 sitters a game, considering that's what's worked in 90% of our games over the last 3 years?

Edit: Wait lol, I've just re-read what you said about the Madrid game. Are you serious? He scored at the 9th minute when neither team was dominating. It was an evenly balanced first half. And it is an indisputable fact that he changed the game when he came on at the Bernabeu, why are you so intent on downplaying his influence?

Flat track bully. Sick of his game changing misses or poor decisions.
Made poor decisions tonight 1st with his in powerless cross to Jesus in the 1st half and then his unacceptable miss.
Sick of seeing him on the left where he can’t beat a man due to indecision and inability to kick a ball with his left foot.
I get really fucked off with the “World Class” tag people give him.
oh dear

You have to be there to miss em.

Unfortunately, his brain every now and again , let’s off a fart.
His ability to bounce back will define his career however, almighty fuck ups will too.

Sane would've scored that.

I've said it before and I'll stick to my guns in that we will regret not giving him more game time over sterling.
