I think some people find it difficult to differentiate between an entertaining player and an effective one. It's one of the many problems with relying solely on the eye test.

Yeah that's a problem in itself. Which kinda leads to how most are late to give credit to the more defensive players, especially if you aren't a regular spectator of the team/player.

I think he would have been slightly ahead of the ball last night and, had it got through to him, it would have bounced off him away from the goals. Doesn't matter though as it went in.
