With Mahrez needing to play on the right, Sterling on the left makes sense but no Kun suggests playing him in the middle might be the best option that will allow Torres to play on his favored left side

Pep looked understandably pissed in the post match interview, we'll see how they react from this
Sterling should not play through the middle. Panics every time he’s out through.

I was already slating the finish before he even shot with that chance, zero confidence in him in those situations, he’s such a poor striker of the ball.

sadly right now, if he’s not scoring goals he’s offering nothing to the side, yes we know hes not a striker but he was even worse on the left. cancelo was far more of a threat on the wing than sterling and they were both right footers so there’s simply no excuse for sterling. Look at how cancelo ran at the defender numerous times and attacked him, sterling at best threatens to do it then does a little shimmy 1-2 touches of the ball before turning back we’ve not seen anything from him all season and he’s not scoring enough goals to overlook it anymore

And also - can't he choose a decent hair style ? WTF is that..

It's Manchester City or Inglewood..

Sterling supposed to be world class. How can he miss chances like that??

Mane or son in this team in his position would score 30+ goals a season easy. I love the man but he’s not kicked of at all in last 12 months , after back to back titles I thought he could really kick on, he’s levelled out or got worse
For me there’s an element of him looking great, in a great team (17/18 & 18/19) and now not looking so great, in a team that has clearly regressed as a whole. I think Sterling has done fantastic with what he has but he isn’t the player many on here believe he is.

Finally we can see / realize - how great Leroy Sane was and fundamental in both titles...

His movement off the ball is as good as anyone I've ever seen, and our system in the two previous title-winning seasons allowed us to exploit that to ruthless effect. Our current setup asks him to do the things he's weakest at instead. He's playing like he did in his first season at City under Pellegrini right now

Will always get a hard time when missing match winning chances. It’s the way football has always been.
Next winning goal and all will be right in the world again.
