Sane better than Sterling mob out in full force I see. Sterling was far more important to us when they were both in the side, scored more goals, made a similar amount of assists. Never looked disinterested. He might not be world class but the fuckin revisionism on Sane is embarrassing.

has to go back to the right.
HAS TO!

On the right he seems to use his body positioning better to look like he might pass or cut inside with his left foot but actually go outside with his right foot. He’s also more direct and will actually try and take someone on over on the right. Whereas on the left he doesn’t even really try to take defenders on.

Sané had the best goals and assists per minute in the entire squad in the two years we won the league.

it's so key, especially with the weaknesses in other areas. We need to be able to playing balls in behind to turn the backline and at least cause them uncertainty, but it's too much work for Walker to make up that ground constantly, Mahrez doesn't do it enough and if Raz does on the left he kills it with 7 touches and running into defenders. On the right he can make the move for those passes, cut it back on his strong foot or shoot first time and then he can make those runs into the middle for the cut-backs, which people say we don't get anymore because of low blocks but there were 3 great low balls in today that were begging for a tap in. He's much stronger on that side and needs to go there, Torres has already shown he has the skills and technique to do what Raz can't on the left, and Mahrez just massages his personal stats at the expense of the team.

Watching the Bayern game. Sane just scored now.

In the hindsight I feel We should have tried to give him more importance over sterling
We should have given Sterling more importance over Mahrez on the right where his game was developing well, and we may likely have never had to worry about Sané on the left.

If Sterling would have spent his entire City career on the right he’d be a better and more confident player than he is now.

I still can’t understand why we signed Mahrez.

Sane was always a better footballer than Sterling. Sterling may score more goals but on actual footballing ability, Sane has more talent than Sterling will ever have.

it's Sterling thinking he's better on the left and Pep's obsession with his Barca blueprint of inverted wingers and pretend Busquets in the midfield that's the issue, when we set out to build the best interpretation of a Pep team for English football we thumped everybody.

Sane was the sole of the attack and a creative type of player..

Sterling had more goals (not assists) but most of them were tap-ins.

Sane was more influential than Sterling in 2017/2018 - all the attacks were through him and I am not talking about enjoyment he was bringing to the supporters and how happy we were every minute he touched the ball.

But right now when Sterling is left alone and has to create something - we see that he has nothing to offer.

That's why we should have some understanding here.. There are two types of attackers: creators and users..

Sane was creator..

Sterling is user..

We need an attacker - who is able to transform our possession into moments, otherwise what's the point to have the ball all the time. Today only Cancelo was trying to do that and he isn't even an attacker :D

I was hoping Torres would be that player but he can't seem to get on the pitch.
