And that's fine, everyone has opinions.

I'd be interested to hear any suggestions on who we could get that would churn out 198 goal involvements in 279 games for cheaper...

...we've already had Jack Harrison, Traore and Raphinia on that particularly silly bingo card.
Already here, Jesus and Foden. Elsewhere, I believe Grealish would thrive as would Son, but he prob wouldn't be cheaper to buy, but wages would be.

If you replace Sterling with Dr Bruyne in this post do you still have the same opinion?

Or is he allowed a period of poor form and Sterling isn't.

The only thing I can take from that post is that you think Sterling has no chance of getting back to the form that made him an integral part of the 198 point team.

It's not age or injuries which would cause a decline so I would like to hear your reasoning?
Everyone is entitled to a period of poor form, but for me, that is something that lasts a few weeks, or at worse a couple of months. Sterling has been out of form for far too long.

KDB is widely regarded as the best midfielder in the world (and rightly so), he is having a below-par season by his own very high standards, but is still 2nd in the assists chart. Apart from a couple of recent games, he hasn't absolutely stunk the place out despite being below his normal high level. We are used to him being head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch, but this season he has been just another one of our very good players.

Sterling on the other hand, isn't just significantly behind where he has been in goals wise, he is IMO more often not our worst player. He has found zero rhythm to his game all season, and doesn't deserve his place in the side. Some think this is an outlandish claim, but when was the last time he put in a performance like Foden or Mahrez did last night? People are obsessed with saying that he would be difficult to replace, but forget spending £100m in the transfer market, there are players already at the club who improve significantly on the Sterling we have seen this season.

As for him getting back to his 17/18, 18/19 levels, I have no idea. We would all love that to happen.

Rather than trying to be smart, care to say why wouldn't they?
Son's wags would not be cheaper than Sterling.

He's one of the most recognisable and well known footballers in the league. Joining from a rival.
He knows how high his stock is, he knows what Sterling, KDB, Kun get paid and he would want at least the equivalent. Add that to huge sign-on and agents fees (bigger the transfer fee the bigger the agents fee) and a massive transfer fee he would cost us a fucking bomb.

Grealish would probably be on slightly less money in wages but transfer fee would still be huge.

So basically your simply assuming you know, fair enough.

How has he been out of form for too long?? It's been 3 games FFS.

He's had 3 bad games on the bounce but before that he has 7 goal involvements in 7 games. All wins.

He was brilliant against Liverpool and Burnley about a month ago. Winning goal against Arsenal 3 PL games ago.

LAST SEASON he scored 31 goals. The year before he was FWA Player of the Year and PFA Young PLayer of the Year.

What do you think Son would do start missing sitters for fun in our team? Plus anyone who thinks a player of Grealish’s ability wouldn’t thrive in a team like ours that dominates possession must not watch him play much.
You misunderstood me. I meant that Son's wages wouldn't be cheaper.
