If you rate that as excellent, you're very easily pleased.

He improved to a 6/10,from a 4/10 in the first half.

He needs to show more substance.more guts.....he needs to be a player who takes a game by the scruff, someone we can look to for inspiration and that others can rely on.Right now he's so inconsistent and lightweight, when the going gets tough he vanishes.

Hopefully he gets game time in the summer and next season he returns a far more confident and dependable player.
Business wise this summer may not be the best time to sell him but playing wise I think it’s the right time to part ways if we can get a top class wide man to replace him. I think we’ve got the absolute most that we could’ve hoped for out of him but at the rarefied level we play at someone with his technical limitations is always expendable.

With all due respect you've shown nothing but complete and utter contempt for the lad for a while and it shows.

You're at the point now where its more or less trolling and we can all see it.

We get it, you don't rate him. That's fine but maybe spend your time on something better than a forum criticising a footballer who's played well.

We don't need a winger as such, just soemone capable of playing the wider role in the same fashion Foden and Bernardo do.

Grealish is that man.

We wont be selling Sterling though,i doubt very much.

The abuse of Raheem is fucking equally mind numbing and disgusting. He'll retire as one of our most decorated players. He'll be close to Aguero's goalscoring record and will have a similar amount of trophies. He's struggling now but deserves respect, scored a winner in a Cup Penalty shootout and has been a fantastic signing.

Love the lad and a victim of our modern success. We won't know what we've had with him till he's gone.
Totally agree. People praise Jesus for work rate Sterling works as hard and has delivered more in terms of end product. Having a poor patch but as you say has been a huge part of the success.

Youre showing no respect to an opinion that is perfectly rational and balanced.

Trolling?? lol,because i don't rate him?

'we all can see it' - his deluded fan boys you mean?

You said he played excellent,he didnt, thats what i had an issue with.I see you have altered that now,to suit.....

Today was his big chance to impress Pep, and while he worked hard (and was unlucky with the shot that hit the post), in my opinion, he didn't get anywhere near the level of performance that would impress Pep.

He's perhaps lucky to have Gareth Southgate on his side, and is almost certain to hold his place in the England team for the Euros for the first couple of games at least. If he shows good form in the Euros, he'll be in the shop window.

Not finishing better is not being UNLUCKY

It is a skill but in fairness he has never been very good at it. Some players just lose all composure. I said earlier in the thread he suffers from the yips. He will have periods where he scores but he will also have periods where he looks awful. He has been around long enough now where we all know his strengths and weaknesses.

He was great up until 18 months ago,and he got praise for such. Now hes gone to pot,and people are criticising.

Its a football forum, thats what people do.

No one is immune, despite the best efforts of some.

I see you still haven’t found your off switch.

We won today and have one hand on the title. Why not have a day off?

Agree about Grealish and if we were to buy him and Haaland then the sale of Sterling would help to balance the books. Who else do we have who is viewed as dispensable and who would command a significant fee ?
