Thought he did well today. Bailed out Aguero and should have been awarded the penalty. As Lineker said he was fouled 4 times! Richards was talking crap after the match.
Richards is going down in my estimations sits on the fence with an arse full of splinters trying to please eberyone ! Backed the rags and Neville with the protests last week and hasn’t got the bollocks to say that that’s a penalty earlier today .

I’m one of his biggest critics but today I thought he was ok and abit better than he had been . Still a long way to go before anywhere near back to his best . Not a first teamer though and definitely not a captain .

He scored and that’s all you can ask but he continues to waste promising situations through poor decision-making or lack of technique which is why he’s not a starter in our strongest team. Hope he gets back to his best next season

That will be a no, hes had 18 months. The best players don't need 18 months to find form, regain confidence etc. It's either cash in this summer or he needs to accept that he's not a first team player in my opinion.

I mean Bernardo was out of form for a rather long time, at least a year. And now he's one of the best we've got.

Stones was really out of form for 18 months (to the point that he was very close to being sold if not for Garcia choosing to leave) and now he's playing the best football of his career.

I'd wager both those guys struggled far more than Sterling has (who's not been out of form for 18 months either way).

Players like Mahrez (2.5 seasons) and Gundogan (3.5 seasons) have been constantly accused by many of not being good enough before being accepted by blues.

It's taken until very recently for people to finally start truly rating Zinchenko.

It's never ideal but part of the pros of having a high quality squad with a high quality manager is you can afford to take time with these things. Too many players have turned things around to suggest that it's a guarantee that any particular player won't get back to their best form.
