When he tried to play Gundogan in and just kicked it out by over hitting it horribly. When he did an air shot from 5yds out. When he headed it 6yds wide. Fucking awful.
Yep - thought I’d agree.Somewhere in there i'm saying Sterling can run around as i'd expect a well paid athlete to do, but this is football and i'd expect him to have more footballing skills.
Like finding a man, dribble without running with your head down into opponents and more critically not miss as many chances to score within the 6 yrd box
Hes above average I will agree, but to me his mental attitude as to change.Yep - thought I’d agree.
I think we have to give him credit for his movement - it’s not a coincidence that he finds himself in the position to miss sitters like that. I’d go as far as to say he reads the game well, when he isn’t in possession and doesn’t have to focus on keeping control of the ball.
But I agree - he seems to be exactly that at this point - an athlete first and a footballer second.
You never know, Pep obviously loves him, so he might restructure the team so that we play to his strengths and he can excel again. Let’s just hope that isn’t to the detriment of what we’ve just seen in the last few months.
Perhaps Sane waa sick of being scapegoated and dropped after an indifferent performance while seeing Raheem indulged and automatically selected even if he stank the place out for weeks
He's been gash for months...Yep - thought I’d agree.
