He doesn’t need a rest. He needs dropping. I have never known a player at City have as many excuses made for him as Sterling does. Sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade and he is not performing to any kind of acceptable level.

Spend a few minutes on here and you'd believe he's non league let alone top of the league.

113 goals from 234 starts and 44 sub appearances is amazing. We're lucky to have him.

Unfortunately you can often find parallels for us losing to Sterling missing some golden chances which is a credit to him partly for consistently seemingly getting the chances but fucking frustrating he misses them. Nobody scores everything but you think if Haaland is on the end of that cross and the header today and its two goals.

It happens, and he's not been great of late in that regard.

But he's won us many games, and gets been a key part of our best era.

So people should be frustrated when he doesn't play well, or misses an easy chance. But he seems to cop it more than any of our players. And he's never been as bad as some try to make out.

Sterling is currently stealing a living and is, in no way, putting in the performances that are needed to be a starter in this team.

Currently, Foden, Bernardo, Jesus and Torres should all be ahead of him as a left winger.

It’s time to play Sergio as CF and give Jesus a run out on the left, IF Pep feels Jesus deserves a place.

Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Laporte
Bernardo Fernandinho Foden
Mahrez Aguero Torres

The one thing you can say about Sterling is at least he is getting in those positions consistently and if he misses then he misses but Sane could be one mad arse fucker and if he had a bad game you really knew it. Sterling could have got a 2-2 draw today whilst still being shite.

No point in getting in dangerous positions only to fluff your lines.
