Our build up is much slower, more patient, and less expansive, its also very much possession based and more technical.

None of that suits Sterling.

Could you point out to us when our build up became "very much possession based"?

2017/18 69.9%
2018/19 67.2%
2019/20 65.9%
2020/21 63.3%
2021/22 65.8%

Would also be good to hear when Pep Guardiola wasn't playing a "technical" style of football as well.

This will suit him better this season. Seems like Pep wants to speed our play up by putting people on their stronger foot.

What’s different between your team now and 2 years ago which means Sterling isn’t suited anymore?
2 years go we had a striker and now we are playing with a False nine. I think Sterling works better with a striker or the system of a striker but since we stopped playing with a striker he has struggled!

Sterling needs to up his game also and get smarter! He is becoming predictable. I believe he can do a comeback but he needs to really want one.

When KDB and Foden return I’m not sure there is a place for him tbh. We have a lot of attacking players and on form(long term in his case for us) he is bottom of that list.

That's also a good sign regarding Bernardo's playing time. It means he won't just drop out as soon as KDB comes back into the team and can rotate with Gundogan too.

Well his only competition is Jesus if Pep wants a right footer on the right.

Jesus who seemingly most of the forum wanted sold 3 weeks ago.

A lot of the forum wanted or weren’t arsed if Silva stayed such is there desire for shiny new things and players stats. I think pep and most fans would rather have a left footer on the right playing well rather than a right footer playing poorly.

Silva
Foden
KDB
Mahrez
Grealish
Jesus
Torres
Sterling

Six of them are better than him currently so it’s a head scratcher. You can only put 2 of them as 8’s unless pep has a champions league final moment. I hope to god he has got that out of his system. Being 5th, 6th or 7th option ain’t brilliant for him.

He needs to hit a purple patch sharpish. He has them but it’s been a while now.

SO Pep has literally just hours ago said he wants natural footed wingers following our match and your response is to pretend to know that he's secretly thinking the exact opposite.

This place is amazing sometimes.

What’s amazing is you read the post and somehow came to this laughable conclusion you daft sod:-)

I shall repeat very very slowly....are you ready.....pay attention.......

I said Pep and most fans would prefer a left footer on the right playing WELL rather than a right footer on the right playing POORLY

Now if you’re of the opinion Pep would play someone who is playing badly just because he is right footed over someone who is playing great then that’s your opinion. The only thing amazing Is your lack of football knowledge or lack of reading comprehension.

You may also want to read the tweet and pay attention to the SOME players part and while you’re at it look up the words preference and the term set in stone.

Let’s see how many games Mahrez plays on the left now you believe Pep won’t now play him on the right.

This place eh!
