7 years above the Rags

Sweet sweet music.

used to work with a bloke in the 90s and we’d have an over under bet on city getting half of united points. I used to lose a lot. Well, the years we were actually in the same division. ;)

I Was in secondary school in the late 90's, completely agree with you.
I went to school in Trafford around that time n’all. Left school in ’98 and left Sixth Form in ’00.

The morning after they’d beaten us 5-0 a load of them did a pile-on on top of me when I got into school to take the piss.

There were kids in my year who’d never been to Old Trafford taking the piss whenever we’d lose a derby, have a bad run of form or get relegated.

Kids whose both parents were City fans who were saying they were United fans all of a sudden. Plus loads of Blues who “lost interest” in footy.
Ever notice how we’ve got a bit of a lost generation at City, a proper lack of 30somethings within our support now? Well it’s because of those turncoats and shy-aways!

But I always had a City coat right from Year 7 to Year 13, never shied away from showing how proud I was to be a Blue. It made me a target for the piss taking but I embraced it. It gave me the thickest skin in the world! I’m the coolest **** going when it comes to my emotions, nothing phases me because of the shit I got back then.

It’s why I’ve never been arsed about the media or other fans these days talking shit about us all the time, it’s like water off a duck’s back. It’s nothing compared to what us Blues went through at school in the ’90s!

I was in the education system 1996-2010, if only they were this shit then, would have saved me a lot of mither.

Something to shear with that lot from Trafford.

Remember dropping my youngest off at the school gates after that 5-0. There must have been about a hundred of the little red fuckers waiting to pounce on us!

You 30+ year olds certainly had it tough but the payback of the last 10 yrs has been worth it.

No threat at all,it is nice to have it at 7 years, but deep down they know, and so will the media soon, that when they talk about rivalries,it'll be City and Liverpool going forward.

They will raise their game at times against us,win the odd battle,as per this season, but we have and will continue winning the war.
