Different times though. They were light years ahead of us. They’ve no excuses for their own shit show since Ferguson retired. Still the self proclaimed biggest and richest club in the universe, 20 times etc. We were none of those things in the 90s and 00s. We’re on a par now financially - we never were back then.

Monday mornings were a nightmare for me at school in the late 70s and 80s, but how times have changed, always keep the faith!!

I understand the significance of 7 years (winning the league in 3 of them) to blues at school but we have to get some prospective here, they finished above us from 1992 to 2011 (20 seasons) winning the league in 12 of them. Match that and our domination over them is absolute.

Not that it takes any shine off our incredible achievements, and it does put it into a bit of perspective. And yes they won 12 out of 20, but they weren’t competing 100% in 4 comps each season(there was one year they didn’t even enter in the FA cup, which was a disgrace, the rags sending out a message thinking they’re the best team in the land, too big for football oldest cup completion).

So if our trophy haul was counted over a 20 year period from 2011-2031 we may not win 12 leagues but our overall trophy haul would be better than the rags I would suggest.

When I start to think about how much I hate Liverpool and feel our rivalry with them building all the time, I sometimes forget how big a set of ****s the Rags are... then I remember that banner!

And I say “banner” but they paid for having a new one made every year and I think it started at 25 Years. So there were actually ten of those fucking banners!
