Agreed on McAidoo, a very dangerous player
Unless Pep really changes his selection criteria, I can see very few of the youngsters getting an extended run, which is what they really need.

As Shakespeare once said it may be a case of "McAidoo about nothing"

To be fair the same was said about the last generation - palmer, delap…

It just depends on if they get given a chance or not.
And how they develop. We should not just assume giving them a chance will guarantee success.

The world is full of Lots of.great youth players who fizzled out

We should also not assume Training ground is measure of players ability and anyway chances is not what our youth players have been afforded. Not extended run anyway

That catalyst to all this mess was the Spurs LC game when in advance Pep said he would be playing the kids. However, we lost Akanji in the warm up, Dias at HT and Stones long term.
Plus other 1st team players unnecessarily played that night
Ironically, our best 2 that night were O Reilly and Wright who haven’t had a sniff since

That’s bloody obvious. Some will fail but guess what? Some might do a half decent job. No I don’t mean they have to be sodding world class but come in and do a job. And now look, fucking Morgan Roger’s on 2 occasions ran through the flimsy midfield and defence we had. He has pace, power coupled with his City education.
Why could our management not see this?

If you watched him regularly for our EDS, he looked a league below. There is no way that someone watching those games regularly would have picked him out as EVER being the level that he is now.

Still winds me up this. The fanbase had accepted (after Pep’s comments after the previous round) that we were going there and effectively throwing the competition. I couldn’t believe the strength of that starting XI and it has completely fucked our season.
