I just don't get why we haven't used him more often and it's baffling to me that we were (supposedly) prepared to let him leave!
Just because Chelsea were (supposedly) interested, doesn't mean we were willing to let him go.I just don't get why we haven't used him more often and it's baffling to me that we were (supposedly) prepared to let him leave!
McAtee is an easy explanation, when he has played, he's failed to impress.I don’t understand why he hasn’t played more this season. Same with Mcatee
We’re spending huge amounts of money when I think we might already have the talent in the academy
He had quite an injury last year and burst back into matchdays for the EDS. This lad is going places.McAtee is an easy explanation, when he has played, he's failed to impress.
O'Reilly has been (rightfully) eased in.

Delap and Marmoush are very different players, Marmoush can play with Haaland, Delap couldn't and would never be anything but a Haaland back up,, maybe not even that, he had no reason to stay . Nothing to do with accountants. Do you really think Pep and Txiki would allow accountants to pick and choose which academy players stay with the team and which are moved on.Accountants run the club/business.
Sell academy = pure accounting profit.
Buy player = amortised cost over life of contract.
Sell £50m of academy every year.
For the £50m/year you can amortise maybe 3 or 4 top players and still be profitable.
The right answer is keep 1 or 2 or 3 per year if they are good enough instead of buying.
Keeping academy like Delap is always a gamble compared to a relatively safe purchase like Marmoush.
I don’t agree. He’s played well in multiple games, scored and affected the game. Oreily has also struggled at times, as you’d expect any young playerMcAtee is an easy explanation, when he has played, he's failed to impress.

Not a lb but looks so comfortable there. That in itself shows the lad has something. Compare with Nunes who people defend on the grounds he’s not a rb. Oreilly is clearly a proper talent Nunes is not.Unbothered, Unfazed and dealt with everything he needed to easily. (Leicester were garbage though) but cant ask for more from the lad.
