Would give him a rest on Friday. Felt like he couldn't quite get going in the second half and really struggled to keep track of Elanga. Understandable, though. He's played more top level football in the last month than he's ever played before. Time to ease Akanji back in so O'Reilly's good for the final.

I wouldn’t go that far. Only Gvardiol is in the running for player of the season. Nobody else is close. Honestly think if we did a poll, Josko would get over 90% of the votes with the rest spread thin over a few others. Nico is absolutely class though, but it can only be Gvardiol that picks up player of the season.

I would give it Gvardiol too but O'Reilly has a shout to be next, that's how good he's been.

It's Marmoush and it's not even close!

We shot ourselves in the foot with letting Julian go and it's clear we had a massive hole with our pressing and forward lines and link up play.

Our entire renaissance started when he came and Pep figured out how to use him. To his credit Omar has slotted right in and almost made it seem that we don't miss Julian.. and he is better technically than Julian was!

Bottom line Omar has changed our entire season's trajectory around!

His future isn't at left back or left wing back, so with him, and Rico, developing nicely, i wonder if we're going to hold off buying another box to box midfielder this summer?
