When you look up "world class" in the dictionary you'll find Gundo's picture. Unbelievable performance again.

Reminds me, in a weird way, of Michael Ballack at his peak. The way he can move up and down the pitch and be decisive in whichever area he's in.

Pep talked about it last week but it's the intelligence that he has plus excellent technical ability that means he can do a number of jobs. I've long been certain that Pep kept using him when dozens of City supporters moaned about it is because Gundo was doing the job Pep asked of him; it's something that I am convinced applies to other players.

Do we really need Haaland or Aour ? when Gundogan can fill in ?

Gundogan is operating at a level of form that the likes of Haaland, Lewandowski and Messi only just manage to operate at at their peak.

It's not sustainable.

So long as Pep keeps Gundogan in an attacking roll and brings in capable cover for Rodri and Ferna (when he moves on or into a coaching roll) so that Gundogan isn’t ever deployed as a holding defensive midfielder - I think we’ll only see positivity in this thread.

I’ve been critical of Gundogan’s performances in the past, but those games he was deployed deep and defensively. I don’t think anyone has ever doubted his skill and ability, but I for one can’t say I ever expected him to use those skills to the effect he is doing this season.

Absolute revelation and long may it continue. I’m hoping it pushes and brings a new level out of KDB as well. Imagine saying that 18 months ago, and along side Phil getting better and better.

The future is bright and Gundogan is our spark at the moment.

So; this whole "Mr Whippy" thing. How did it come about? Is it as simple as that picture of the bloke who (sort of) vaguely resembles Ilkay, standing in front of an ice cream van? Or is there some deeper, subliminal vibe going on here? Like when you could play records (younger BMers, ask your dads) backwards and could hear satanic messages.
