I don’t think Modric would be valuable in the PL at 37, game suits him in La Liga just like it would an ageing Gundogan.

If Modric at his mid 30s can contribute to Madrid success in the most difficult competition, Ilkay can do the same and if he can do it in the CL, he can do it in the league as well.

Again, what has the Champions League got to do with it? I’m talking Premier League and La Liga, not a cup competition.
When was the last time a 34+ year old midfielder contributed to the success in the PL like Modric is doing in La Liga?

The fist half needed his influence and control,we looked devoid of idea's and rudderless without his presence.
Thankfully Pep worked his magic at HT which ensured he got much needed rest.
Few can offer something similar in terms of direct replacement,but MacAllister is very much capable.
