He's everything I've imagined he would be in our side for 3/4 years and yet we're only 3/4 games into his career. He's already turning in MOTM performances and he's going to get so much better.

Keeping him fit is our only concern.

ONLY real worry about the young man.

He is the perfect Pep midfielder who embodies the concept of "control" and "tempo" yet I can see is still trying to find those through balls more and more often.

He and Rodri will start every big game 100%, but hope not EVERY game because we can't have a Rodri situation last season where they play 4500 minutes.

Hopefully Nunes is completed to rotate and Bernie can rotate there too.

Aside from his ability on the pitch, I love just how involved he is already. Like the way he celebrates goals as if he’s been part of the club for years, the way he made a beeline for Grealish after his assist today. I don’t really know how to describe it but I just love how he isn’t taking any time to settle into the group, he’s just waltzed in and seems integrated on and off the pitch already.

He's making me look a right dick. I was a bit, underwhelmed when we signed him.

Now if Matheus Nunes can do the same, that'd be great thanks!

He’s pretty good isn’t he?To think he was half the price of Mount! The transfer market has gone completely hat stand,..it just doesn’t make any sense anymore.

I just knew he would come good right away. At Madrid, he was unbelievable, and actually did play a lot of big games. And he carried Chelsea’s midfield for a while, but was overlooked because he doesn’t pop up and score tons of goals. He has outstanding technical ability and close control. And in a double pivot he really shines

I must say, I was pretty underwhelmed when it was announced he was coming to us, but I'd never really watched him much, and I'm mightily impressed with him so far, I love the calmness he brings, far better than I expected anyway.

Me too. I have to admit for the first time in my life I might have been wrong.

Don`t tell the wife or my kids.

The thing that I loved the most was the through ball to Haaland that he missed.

I thought we’d lost that when Gundo left but Kovacic looks for it every time really (more so than others).

Noticed it from game 1 that he constantly checks for Haaland no matter where he is on the pitch. That’ll come to fruition a lot this season!

Gundo had more “big moments in games” due to his positioning and understanding of space, but Kova does more in the game time through the 90 mins, he’s always buzzing around turning the ball over, we look more solid in the middle with Kova. Both brilliant players so I Salute the board for a great purchase to replace a legend.

Love watching him play. Love it when he sometimes decides to just run through multiple midfielders.

Feels a bit like Bernarbia in that it's a pity we didn't get him earlier in his career.

At least this time it should last more than 2 seasons.
