That’s what was reported at the time. But pretty sure a year or so down the line it was shown that he’d never signed anything with New York prior to joining City.
 
The gpc loaned Preston 4 players. I am sure it had nothing to do with his son being the manager which is why no one said a word.
They said even less when the gpc cancelled the loans because Preston sacked the junior bully.
It seems its ok to loan to your son but not your sister club.
