8 PL Clubs vote against blocking related-party loans | 7 against blocking related transactions

I don’t think we’ll take anyone on loan from the Saudi league in January. At the beginning of November Dan Ashworth was interviewed and was asked would we sign Neves in January Given all the rumours. He merely said there’s nothing in the rules that would prevent us.

The PL quickly called a meeting to try and prevent any loan deals happening. Ashworth played the PL in my opinion, I’m sure they are building a case to instigate legal action, should it be required, and attempts like this demonstrate that there’s and agenda to prevent Newcastle growing. They even tried to make the FMV rule more stringent and onerous to prevent us increasing our revenue streams. Ashworth is playing 5D chess with the old school teams whilst they’re playing Draughts. Fuck them, hopefully the balance of power is shifting.
The stupid thing is that it would be completely sensible for Newcastle to try and loan a world class midfielder in January. You've lost your most expensive midfielder for 10 months. That's exactly the sort of situation where you bring in an expensive loan player, like the rags did all those years ago with Henrik Larsson. You can't spend tens of millions to replace someone who'll be back by next season.

Don't loans between related clubs have to meet fair valuation rules anyway?

I’m sure they will bring someone in, just not from the Saudi League……Philips on loan from City has been mooted, I’m sure they’ll have targets lined up for January. Yes loans have to meet FMV, that’s why they tried to change those rules too.

Would really boil some piss if we lent you a player that helped you get CL ahead of the red shirts. They'd probably try and claim related party because, well, they're all Arabs aren't they?

It certainly would, especially if it was your nearest and dearest that missed out.

A loan deal for Kalvin would be a good deal for both parties. They get a half decent player, we offload his wages and if he finds his form he either comes back or we get the money back we paid for him in a transfer fee. Good business all round.
