I’m getting a bit annoyed with people judging him from the odd game he gets when he’s often played out of position. I actually thought he was good yesterday. He’s still got a lot of progress to make, but you can see he looks like he belongs in this City team.
I agree.
All this pontificating over a young lad is crazy. Lets face it, he will either make it at City like Foden and Lewis OR he will disappear into the ether like others have done.
Nobody knows. Lets wait and see before judging him on a few random appearances.

Not every academy kid has to be a superstar, some can just do a job like a Fletcher or an O’Shea.

I think Palmer is good enough to come in and play in games like Sunday and this Wednesday, allowing the better players the rest that’s needed in the modern game.
Would he be happy with that?

He should have passed to Alvarez when he blasted wide. Alvarez told him that and got a few verbals back for his trouble. The young man is not short of self confidence.

Agree with your basic premise, but just to point out that so far Lewis has not actually 'made it'.
A very promising start, but so far that is all it is.
Hojbjerg broke through at 17 with Bayern under Pep but was eventually transferred.
I really rate Lewis and think he will make it but so far he is still just a very promising player.

He has shown excellent finishing at EDS level so I understand why he takes shots when there may be better options. It is difficult for him and youngsters though. Score and your profile goes through the roof but just doing the basics make people refer to you as average.
I have a feeling he will score a cracker against Saints.

What lewis is doing is grasping his chance, long term … who knows. But hes grabbing!

Ive stated that im not 100% about cole. HOPE he proves me very wrong.

What i do know is he has a very good and lucrative career in football ahead of him

Cole is an outstanding player and a top lad too.

Too many people have already pointed out his strengths so I won't bother... but he'll have a much better career than Brandon Barker - no doubts about that.
