Rico hasn't been perfect though, he's made errors at times which is to be expected. But as a young lad and one of our own he gets away with it. Cole seems to get heavily criticised despite being one of us. Even with the ceremony yesterday it was an indifferent reception for Palmer in comparison to Rico and Phil.
You could easily ask for fans to recognize Cole without trying to shit on Rico. The young man has done very well, he has been involved in some top level games this season and has shown his football intelligence and bravery. He deserves every recognition he receives at the moment, maybe more.

I'm not shitting on Rico. He's been class. But we're an outstanding team and at times he makes mistakes, which as I said is to be expected.

I thought he played like his future at the club was at stake against Chelsea.

You could see the desire and skill was there, with good link up play.

Definitely got something to offer, and with an injury free run, can become a regular part of the squad.

Interesting that the majority of City fans see Palmer as a natural replacement for Mahrez whereas Pep sees something slightly different.
For the first 20 minutes v Chelsea he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile, notching one assist, and deserving a second or third.
That's the standard because he's now proved that he can do it.
