This song was crazy popular, but what sealed it as legendary for me was being 13 years old and watching my best mate's 16 year old sister and the rest of the girls on her high school cheerleading team practice a dance routine to this over and over one Friday night.
I suppose this is what it's all about. Music from our past may be great or not, but the memories it evokes makes it too drawer to us.

The thing is some of the choices on here I don't agree with being greats but each to there own. For me the early 80s to 87 was shit hot. Just enjoy what you like.
I agree take the last 3-4 years of the 1980s and replace it with 77-80 and you have a much better 10 years. Most of the videos posted on here are from the first part of the 1980's , carefully avoiding shite like this.
Replace the Stock , Aitkin and Dennis Waterman years with classics from 77-79.
