Adding the desire we badly need in this team. He's making himself an automatic pick at the minute and it's thoroughly deserved.

After his first few appearances I said we need to be patient and let the kid grow into his adult body before we see what he's made of as he's still very much playing in a child's body but he's proving that to be wrong and defying logic with his displays, he should be getting bullied all over the place but he's refusing to let that happen and is putting in brilliant performances.

He still needs that growth and filling out but he's not letting it hold him back at all, delighted for the lad he was absolutely loving it at the end as he soaked in the entire South stand singing his name and long may it continue. Someone get messi's youth team doctors on the phone see if we can't fast track that growth spurt.
His father is a Thai boxing champion and has his own gym. Rico has grown up in that environment and trained from when he was a toddler. Seemingly he is very handy. It explains his toughness and resilience. We have a diamond here I think. He played amazingly well again and was unlucky not to score to put a tin lid on his performance. Hope he is ok and fit for Wolves.

I just love seeing opponents trying to rough him up, press him, wind him up etc. and it not working.

Put a right smile on my face clapping him and singing his name at the end what it's all about!

He handled Hojbjerg like a champ. Gave him shit, showed no fear and wound him up. For me, Hojbjerg should have been sent off for the stamp, he shortened his stride to land on him. Kids got balls of steel and is a real gem. He's also given us fans a new academy lad to back and gets us more up for the fight. Pep knows what he's doing!

That would explain why he's got such good balance and agility. His reception of the ball, and then the way he shifts it to avoid a challenge coming in and get past people is almost xavi-esque.

My missus was saying last night that he was bringing back memories of David Silva.

He's getting an awful lot of flattering comparisons with some incredible players from a number of different positions.

Lewis has got that hunger to go with the fact he’s a belting player.

How many 18 year olds can play full back so competently and also saunter about in the centre of City’s midfield like they’ve been doing it 10 years?

That’s fucking outrageous.

Signs of a fantastic mentality emerging as well. Doesn’t let the nasty tackles and bullshit get to him. Cracks on and let’s his feet do the talking.

A very promising first half a season of first team squad action.
