Was about to post the same thing regarding him being an anomaly, but didn't know how to word it without sounding harsh.

I'd go as far as saying, that he wouldn't be the right back for any team in the Premier league, and he certainly wouldn't be a central midfielder other than in a Pep team.

The issue is what happens if he doesn't make it at City, which I don't think he will.

People think he's done well if he just doesn't do badly, it's a low bar and a bit patronising to be honest.

We all want him to succeed, but we have to be honest here; he was very poor last night. In his defence, he wasn't on his own. There were vastly more experienced players out there who were just as bad.

He is too easily pushed off the ball. The midfield last night was extremely lightweight.

Difference with Spanish Dave he wasn't pushed off the ball easily.

He probably was a couple of times when he was 19 and playing senior football don't you think?

I don't know if he was like Rico at 19 but he was stronger than him and very rarely got pushed off the ball. Phil Foden can also be pushed off the ball but not as much as Rico.

Opposition couldn't get near him though, could they ? Lewis is light years away from El Mago in all facets of the game as are most humans.
