Ok pal no I am realist and say what I see. Kid is decent at right back coming into midfield although he couldn’t be able to play against a high level winger. He’s not a box to box midfielder at the level required in my opinion is all I am saying.
At 19, nobody should be expecting him to be.

Yeah but the point is writing someone off as a midfielder due to size in 2023 is batshit insane to me. It's all part of the learning curve
It's unfair on Lewis to be expecting him to compete and come out on top at his age against bigger, stronger, faster and better players. His skill set, as it currently stands, does not give him any advantage in the role he's currently being asked to play in. Opposition can see it and they clearly target him, knowing they can get at him.

457 minutes of Champions League football this season, so playing in every game and I think the most minutes of any other player. He’s the role model for any academy kid: knuckle down, work your socks off, and listen to and learn from the club.
At times I thought he was playing in his Grans slippers as he slipped on more than one occasion. ;)

I have a lot of mixed feelings regarding Lewis. I thought he was good today, overall, but I can't see myself ever trusting him defensively against the better teams. Intelligent, with great short-passing and awareness, but vulnerable defensively due to his size, and can get caught-out defensively. On the other hand, the way he plays and his skill set seem much better suited to central midfield, but I don't know if he has the creativity and physicality to be a central midfielder for us long-term. I don't know what his position is, so he should just pick up minutes where he can, and we will see what the future holds for him.

That's a fair assessment. I think most agree. What I would say, is his confidence and mentality are top notch and he is always moving and showing for the ball. That sounds like a given, but he is very intelligent at finding little pockets of space to receive the ball and keep it moving. The amount of experience he is getting will ensure he develops into a top player in my opinion. There's a maturity to his game you wouldn't expect from a kid of his age. If physical strength is his main issue at the moment, we don't need to worry. That and general positioning etc will come with more game time.
