82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

People on this site have lost their heads.

Shitting on a 19 year old who wouldn't be playing in that position if Rodri was fit.
100%. All the players look bad at the moment because the system isn’t working.

We also don’t have anyone else to play really. The people wanting McAtee to replace him have never seen McAtee play as he isn’t a midfielder.

Walker is so bad at the moment that Rico is likely to play quite a lot at right back too. Akanji can’t play there as we don’t have enough centre backs fit.

He looks better when he doesn't have pensioners around him. His learning curve just got steeper when there is no functioning midfield around him, but he personally might learn from that. I do think it is a bit sad though that a 19 year old that has already shown he can hang with this side at their best gets written off so easily when it is painfully obvious that the biggest issues are the old guard expected to carry this team.

The one thing I can say he does is put effort in.
He constantly just jogs back when the opposition attack. It’s one of the most noticeable and annoying things about him.

There was one attack in the first half yesterday where Lewis had twenty yards on Son after Son had been defending in his own half and Son reached our box before Lewis.

I don't think he has ANY pace at all mate.

Classic example of a good player who had smoke blown up his arse since he was 14. Never had too much adversity to overcome football wise and feels comfortable about getting a game regardless. Hes worked hard for years to get where he is so hopefully the penny drops and he finds a role for himself and comes good. He cant rely on Peps blind spot forever

I wish we had a young Stephen Ireland and Michael Johnson to fill in at the moment.
