With Rodri's injury he has a great opportunity to impose himself in midfield. Moreover, he himself has said several times that he feels more comfortable as a midfielder.Really excited about Rico this season. Hopefully will start the phasing out of walker.
Regularly looked and acts like a senior player with the ball. It's great to watch
I like Rico at RB and supplementing midfield like he is now, with Akanji covering that right third from CB (his best position). With Rodri's injury he has a great opportunity to impose himself in midfield. Moreover, he himself has said several times that he feels more comfortable as a midfielder.
I see Akanji replacing Walker as a right-back, he has the speed, size and power that Rico does not necessarily have.
Akanji is good in all positions and he has proven it many times.I like Rico at RB and supplementing midfield like he is now, with Akanji covering that right third from CB (his best position).
I am of the same mind, he's so bland.Rico did his usual 6.5/10, but he’s neither this nor that. Needs to excel at something, because 6.5/10 isn’t good enough to play midfield in the best team in the world.
Is that because he’s a right back though? His natural instinct isn’t always to find a through ball.Doesn't take enough risk with his passes. Takes the safe option more often than needed which is ok when up 3 goals. But very noticeable and negative when chasing a game. Still rather have him at RB than Walker.
