Mcatee and Lewis not on the bench and not injured, surely they must have been misbehaving or something to deserve that? Either that or they are both on there way out....

Seems like someone always misbehaves… the squad is just full

Don’t know really. If he had enough midfielders on the bench and was going to start Akanji right back. He had a choice between Nunes and Rico and Nunes is the better attacking option. Shame he didn’t decide to use him though but was the same at Southampton. Neither McAtee or Lewis are anywhere near good enough for us. As will be proven once they both finally leave.

there not anywhere good enough? Lewis played plenty of times and contributed in our title winning seasons - if he wasn’t good enough he wouldn’t have played. He got quite a few motm performances as well. The semi final he was brilliant.

Why write off young players so quickly. The same young players have outperformed the 50/60m signings quite a few times

To not even include him on the bench is ridiculous

Weird way to convince any of the academy graduates to stay, seemingly fall out with every England player then drop two of the ones who've actually tried to stay at the club and not push for moves out of the matchday squad for a cup final. No eyebrows would have been raised had Reis and Echeverri missed out.

Just my opinion. Nothing against them they’ll be millionaires and go on to have good careers. Most of the 50/60m players we’ve signed haven’t been good enough either and that’s why we’re not a great team anymore. It made sense if he was having a fullback at centre half to have a more attacking option than Lewis in Nunes. utd had young players who got plenty of titles as well before going to clubs like Everton and Sunderland and either finding their level there or dropping further. I don’t think Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool or Arsenal would be after any of these 2 when they go. We’ll see how they get on in the future though.

Bit gutted this looks like the end for rico, I’ve watched him be slagged off here too much. Always thought he was a tidy player since he got a look in, maybe a little short in stature but seemed to have fight . Done more than otheres this season, probably thrive at a Brighton

Why would he be in there? Under normal circumstances he will never be there again.
I have noted that your posts are consistently extremely negative towards certain players. Are you on the wind-up?

I assume that this is another one of those posts. Are you saying that a 20-year-old full international will never play internationally again based on exclusion from one squad? I'm afraid that history is not on your side.
