Wasn’t the same said about Palmer, Lavia, Roger’s, Delap, THB and others.

‘Miles out of his depth’ is that based on 25 minutes? He’s never been given a chance at this level

Of course you should believe in him. He’s a city player, fans usually get behind their own players, especially from the academy

He looks like he’s not played football in a month. The odd 25 minutes once in a blue moon isn’t enough to gain confidence or show any kind of form.

We haven’t seen anything from him to believe in. Hes only got a name because of stuff he did years ago in the academy. When he does get mins on the pitch, its all very meh. People are crying out for him to start, based on nothing.

Based on everything I've seen of him. He's nowhere near being an elite player. He should have stayed at Sheffield United.

Out of the players you mentioned, only Cole Palmer is anywhere near elite level and I thought that from the first time I saw him.
 
Im confused why he came on for Gundogan in the DM spot.

So strange.

He didnt do anything.

I may rate him, but if he puts in shifts like that he will not get anymore game time.

You gotta bust a gut in those last 15 minutes.
 
Gonna be rusty having barely played to be fair. Certainly not looking the season we'd hope for him though and he was miles off it tonight

It makes you wonder if Pep intent to set him to fail playing in a CM position knowing James McAtee incapable of doing it. He can play on the wing or no 10/8 but never a DM.

I dont understand why he didnt just play RW in Bernies spot.

Its how Phil learned to play for us, and its low risk.

But I dont want that to be an excuse.

He has to do better.

It will make a lot of sense to put Bernado in DM and him on RW to run down the clock.

I thought of the same when I saw the sub.

God knows why Pep tried him in an unfamiliar position together with a dramatic change of defensive line. It almost like Pep threw away a win to answer the noise.

I'm actually not sure he'll get another chance. It's not just that he didn't do very much. It was truly stupid of him to get that entirely unnecessary yellow card. Pep will have noted that. Delph, a much more experienced player, had one nightmare of a game and that was basically it for him in Pep's eyes.
