but would not surprise me either if he is just a sub in that game as well and Pep goes with Bernardo, Gundo, Lewis who are overplayed as hell already.

Not sure it makes much difference if he plays well, Pep usually plays fringe players in games like this but then promptly puts them back on the bench. Saw a quote from recently where he said he needs the senior players to step up and playing the younger players would be un fair. He does like to protect them which worked well for Phil but then we run the risk of them leaving We didn’t lose Palmer, he chose to go so he could play. Not sure the club get much choice when you don’t give them minutes and last season Palmer had no chance of minutes because everyone was playing well. What we don’t see is the confidence these younger player show behind the scenes, and whether they can handle the pressure.
 
Chatting to a Sheff Utd fan recently, he reckons McAtee at times for the Blades reminded him of Tony Currie (his all-time fave)

He knows they’ll never be able at afford him permanently, but can’t believe Pep doesn’t trust him enough to give game time?

He was largely anonymous in a side that got relegated last season and hasn’t shown anything in his cameos for us that would suggest he could do a job

Yet the 11 being dragged out for the past 13 games have also been anonymous and shit yet keep getting the nod.

This lad is being held to some ridiculous standard for some reason.

Ake was injured apparently so I can see that sub. Not Gundo though.

Yet Pep used Eric Garcia even after he said he wanted to go to Barca, it's obvious Pep has his favourites.

The only thing that makes logical sense. He's been sold down the river and I'll be astounded if he hasn't asked to bail.
