I don't know if we're thinking about separate things but I remember back in the days when Phil wasn't a regular starter Pep said in a press conference that he wants Phil banging on his office door and demanding more chances.
Always thought that was a bit weird. Maybe there's something in there about Pep not being willing to trust these young players until they show enough confidence that they're demanding to start over seasoned pros.
Whatever the thinking, I hope Pep's post match comments weren't just lip service. And I don't think they were.
The way James celebrated that second goal yesterday makes me think he's not given up on his City career yet.
How many minutes has he played this season ?Well it didn’t work for Cole palmer?
He was demanding to play and ended up getting sold.
I think everyone jumping to conclusions here, yes he had a good game yesterday but in other games he’s done nothing to impress me so I think that’s mainly why pep hasn’t been using him up to now.
Let’s also not get carried away that this Leicester city side are poor and championship level

He’s barely played and when he has played it’s every 8 weeks or so. How on earth is any young player meant to show consistency or form with no minutes?Well it didn’t work for Cole palmer?

Yep, Probably deserves a start on that cameo performanceDid exactly what he needed to show when he comes on. Brilliant move to create the 2nd, and kept the ball well afterwards. Love to see it.
Would you really want to live in a world where everyone at the game, at home or in the.pub didn't discuss the game, players and tactics? Imagine if every fan of every club just said I'm not qualified to judge.Every player has an opportunity to impress the manager when they come on.
Pep has no favourites. He picks based on his expectations.
Somehow, many fans now think they are better judges of players than Pep just because we’re going through a rough patch.
Interesting times.
I think he will be OK out wide because of that drop of the shoulder so can go both ways easily . Will be exciting seeing him and Oscar integrated. Oscar more inside maybe.Hopefully he will get a few more appearances during January - will surely start against the mini-rags in the cup - which will hopefully make him happy to stay for the rest of the season rather than pushing for a loan/transfer in the Jan window.
I think he really has something and could be a replacement "pausa" midfielder who can also chip in with a few goals. He will probably have to spend time out wide before he is trusted in the middle but it was great to get a glimpse of what he can do.
I was thinking the same .... that momentary split second blast of utter footballing genius, similar to Oscar up at St James's Park last season, will stay with us for years.Feel like he’s gonna have a similar season to Bobb’s last season. Talent evident but may not be given the minutes by Pep but one that will eventually get given the time
