I think his play was poor to average. But you fotta respect someone who is producing. And he is producing big time!!!

I think he needs to play closer to the box.

Sounds ridiculous to say when hes scored a hattrick but he was actually quite poor for most of the game.

Somebody at the game was saying to me he doesn't have a future here unless he starts having more impact, more regularly. I agreed with that, he scored his first quite literally as we said that. A hattrick is certainly impactful. Needs to take that and the next time he is given minutes, whether it's a start or 20 minutes from the bench, he needs to make sure he makes something happen again. Doing it time after time is the task now, do that and he belongs.

I hope he goes to Dortmund. He is fantastic, and he will be a starter for them, and probably become a 100m player soon enough. Pep isn't going to play him no matter what he does.

If you think he's a fantastic player why do you want him to sign for Dortmund? Bizarre logic I think.

I'd like him to get enough minutes to make a reasoned opinion of him before selling him. He took his hat trick well and I'd like to see him involved at Brentford whilst his confidence is high.

If we do sell him I hope we charge another 10m with a good sell on and buy back clause. I don't want him sold yet (if at all) because I want him to get enough game time to prove himself, or not.

Very quiet attacking wise till foden came on. But his work rate was good as was his defensive discipline.

Pep is just brutal! I agree with him though. He was poor first half but whatever happens with him, no one can take that off him and he looked so happy with that first goal.

Hattrick aside he was poor. Miles off a starting spot.

Made mistakes in the first half but then he was playing deeper while Grealish was playing ahead. Once he was moved into his more natural position, however, he excelled, and then when he was asked to go out wide, his impact again diminished. Can see he has a natural understanding with Grealish and Foden, so the future looks encouraging.

McAtee said himself he had a bad first half. Pep has always been critical of top players, in fact I’d say it means he’s paying more attention to him now.
