Has to be said though, there can't be an excuse for all 800,000 of them, I'd reckon a good 100,000 are playing the system, but when the Labour party has been throwing out benefits like there's no tomorrow for the past 20 years obviously people are going to take advantage of that. Im all for helping less fortnate people out, and by no means should the entire benefit system go out the window, but for it to be a success it needs to be adequately monitored.
The tory's will sort out our financial collapse the hard way, through being tough and cutting important benefits to get us back on track, then be voted out just in time for Labour to fly in and look like a huge success before begining the cycle again.
funnily enough the high number of IB claimants are mostly in areas that were decimated by government policy in the 80's
