CITY...who else
Never forget that day,on a course in ma old job.
Got in about 1400,my woman says, somethin's happened in NY.
We must have sat there for bout 5 hours, just watchin the tv,couldn't take in what was goin on.
Fuk me i still had ma uniform on at 1900,and we sank around 4 bottles of wine....just sitting, just watchin, thinking it was a movie or something.
Actually started crying when i seen humans jumping out of like 68th floor windows.

I was on a promotion course in Bramcote. We were in a discussion group about world events, when someone from another syndicate came in and told us what happened. We just cancelled the discussion and went out to watch the news report. Missed dinner that night, as we all just sat watching the live news reports for about 4 hours. Pretty sureal moment. We then asked the AEC instructors if we could use the next day's discussion groups to go over the events, and the useless fucks said they had to stick to the programme! Arseholes....

What a day that was though. I just remember us chatting about what would happen, and I think we all agreed that the Americans would do something pretty radical as they don't like anyone shitting on their doorstep (well, foreigners anyway).

I, was in reception class at Primary School. Heard the news just after when we were picked up by our parents, horror struck faces I remember, all us lot just wanted to knock a ball about. We didn't know the significance.

Same. Like the London bombings an all, we didnt really understand

Work. Colleague's husband was at home and kept ringing her with updates.

When he said the Twin Towers had collapsed we both looked at each other and said "EH? Is he on drugs??"

Little did we know.

When I got home from work and put the TV on I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Watching Friends on Skyone when a Breaking News info bar came on below. Switched to Sky News and watched for hours.

I have a more selective memory of the London bombings. I think I was in year 3 at the time and was actually on my way home to my mates house, 'for tea and a play' after school and we came out and his Dad stood there blankly, his face white as a ghost and then he told us.

As you say I still didn't really understand what was happening but just by parents and his reactions alone, I was emotional myself.
