In the midst of attacking area bombing, particularly on Dresden but not mentioning the Blitz whilst ignoring many, many, many other nasty war tactics including sending thousands of helpless men over the top against machine gunners, exterminating people in concentration camps and general other nasty war business and as a result taking the thread away from the topic of 9/11 and discussing things that have basically no relevance and no credence in a debate as to the actual happenings on 9/11.
Like I said, it really wasn't difficult to grasp.
The discussion wasn't about nasty shit that's happened during war though. Perhaps that's why you don't get it. It was about 'dodgy' stuff American governments have done in response to some people being unable to contemplate an American government doing something as fucked up as 9/11. They've done worse, that was the point. It's not a good argument to use to counter conspiracies because anyone can point to the enormous amount of blood shed due to the actions of American governments, either directly or through sending their own soldiers into pointless wars.
Sending men over the top, extermination camps (by the way extermination camps were different to concentration camps), had nothing to do with the Americans - and before you try to get clever, by the time American soldiers arrived in the First World War, the worst of trench warfare was over. Anti-trench warfare tactics had evolved by then, tanks were now in use etc. So why you were mentioning them, was pretty hard to grasp. Also, it was SWP's Back that got us onto this topic though by concentrating specifically on the Second World War area of a general comment. Mine was part of a general point which mentioned Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Pinochet as examples of where lives in the millions (in total) have been lost due to the policies of American governments.
By the way SWP's Back, this is not at all a dig at you. As you know, I'm quite happy to discuss the Second World War with you and if the mods deem it needs to be a separate discussion, so be it, they can move or remove posts or whatever, or take it to PMs.
