Area bombing in WWII was not dodgy in the slightest.

I think it was unnecessary. AT MOST, even the bombing of the Ruhr, only put a ceiling on German productivity. The production of most German war materials peaked in Autumn or Winter of 1944. The production of U-boats didn't actually fall at all. Peak production was April 1945! However, let's exclude the Ruhr from the equation and you're left with various cities in Germany that were bombed for no strategic purpose whatsoever. Millions were killed and brought the end of the war no nearer at all. It was a dreadful waste of life, including bomber aircrews - absolutely terrible job that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Let's not forget that the original idea behind bombers was to to demoralise an enemy into surrendering. That obviously didn't happen and never has. Area bombing has been an unmitigated failure as a military strategy. Precision bombing is far more sound both morally and strategically.

One thing which I don't understand, is that there were bombs going off in the basements and people were seriously injured, this was after the planes have hit. One fireman said that a bomb type thing went off and threw him across the ground floor. The plane was 84 floor aboves and no way could the plane do that much damage in such quick circumstances.

There were no bombs going off in the basement at all ffs.

Burning fuel traveling down the elevator shafts would have disrupted the elevator systems and caused extensive damage to the lobbies. NIST heard first-person testimony that "some elevators slammed right down" to the ground floor. "The doors cracked open on the lobby floor and flames came out and people died," says James Quintiere, an engineering professor at the University of Maryland and a NIST adviser. A similar observation was made in the French documentary "9/11," by Jules and Gedeon Naudet. As Jules Naudet entered the North Tower lobby, minutes after the first aircraft struck, he saw victims on fire, a scene he found too horrific to film.

Something that was beyond the possibilities of 1940's bomber crews, at night. And it was totally morally justified in my opinion given what was happening in the war, especially Coventry, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, London etc etc.

We conducted precision bombing routinely during the war with Mosquitos. We did monumental damage on the ground outside of the cities using fighter-bombers, the statistics are mind-boggling if you look them up. There used to be an old website called warbirds. I hope it's still up.

Unfortunate error of war that was, and macho posturing. Originally, Hitler had not intended to bomb non-industrial areas at all. By mistake however, bombs were dropped on residential targets. Churchill, incensed, ordered Berlin bombed. Which it was, with the loss of most of the aircrews. It was terrible and unfortunate.

Our reasoning behind bombing places like Dresden, was to try and undermine the German public's support for the war and Hitler.

Im not sure whether or not this guy is trying to explain 'pancaking'.....but pancaking has been disproved by many engineers. The failure of the columns still hasnt been explained. The columns are pretty much a different structure...so the failure of floors and outer structure doesnt explain the columns

It's not been "disproved" in the slightest on the Towers.

Who are these experts and where are your sources?

I believe there is a hint of a zionist plot going on in that video.

The circumstantial evidence is too circumstantial to ignore.

with the pyroclastic stuff im not an expert....ive admitted that (i prefer the engineering side). I have watched videos and read shit that 'experts' have said. Some MIT guy talks about it in a youtube video somewhere that i can remember watching recently. cant be bothered looking for it.....seriously. im in aus its 1am and i have work tomoz.

pancaking doesnt explain the columns. also pancaking takes time (much more than the 10 secs or so in which the towers collapsed). There are many sources that explain this in further detail. again with sources i cant be bothered. theyre out there.....maybe google if ur interested.

Im not trying to claim i am 100% right (im not, no one is). 9/11 isnt going to get solved on a football forum at 1 in the morning (for me anyway). all im saying is that there r some weird things that went on that day that i and many others dont agree with.

Indeed, and it failed. We had to win the war by capturing Germany not by ousting Hitler. Dresden was especially unnecessary, the war was well won by that point.

Area bombing is intended to affect the morale of the average civilian, the conspirators of the July 20th plot certainly didn't fit that description. The progress of the war, where it was becoming clear Hitler was losing now he was fighting a two-front war, which led the conspirators to up their game.
