If only pace were in his locker then it would be an issue. The fact that he has so many attributes is what makes him so deadly: he can run in behind, he can shoot from distance, he is powerful in the air, his movement creates tap-ins and he can use his right and left. If we find him, he will score for fun, IMO. If I think there is a difficulty, it is in adjusting the way we play a little too much and trying to find him all the time rather than continuing to create chance after chance. I think that will be ironed out as all the players become used to him - they are too intelligent not too - and the havoc that he will create will make space for others. When people were constantly saying (only after dropped points) that we needed a striker, I often pointed out that there was no guarantee that we would create as many chances when we gained one and that is the challenge, exciting times though they are.
One thing I would disagree on there is that he is powerful in the air...he isnt that great...he aint bad but for 6'5 he aint that good either

Looks like Kun has had one or two things to say about Haaland.
Yup

Pretty much what some of us were saying on here after the CS match....He has work to do and he will need to adapt. He will still score goals as he is a natural finisher and a very good one at that but he will also have to hugely work on his all around game....

First touch needs to be better for a start and the ability to play in small restricted spaces.
Link up play needs to be better....Im sure this will come quite quickly as he gets to know the team
He will need to learn to use his physicality...its ok using it against Robertson who is skinny little shit but you need to use it against the centre halves in the prem league.

Like what I saw on Saturday. Created 3 great scoring opportunities against the best defense the planet has ever seen ...
Really enjoyed him bullying Robertson off the ball. Went through him like he wasn't there. Obviously in any game that matters, that'll be called as a foul. Bet he gives away loads of fouls this season just by being stronger than the defender.

Come across this short video in my YT
Anyone else think that the way Erling bowed the head instead of jumping up a bit unnatural?
Is it possible that he still carries some injury and that is the reason why City players rarely put in crosses before Alvarez subbed on?

I’m really looking forward to seeing how we incorporate Haaland into the side, will we build our attacks any different ? Will he be expected to drop in and link up play more than he’s used to? How hard will he work out of possession? It’s genuinely exciting to have such a high quality player getting into those scoring areas (again!), I can’t wait!

I am most interested in how defences will react that we will have a meat tower that can grind them into the ground instead of a short, easy to push away false 9.
have a feeling they will start to put extra men on Haaland, but that can help other players have bit more space if they arrive around the box. thats why we need clinical wide players, because I dont see Grealish converting large number of chances. Mahrez will need to hit similar numbers like last season which his best ever goal tally so hard to replicate probably. hopefully Alvarez will add a lot of goals.
