His overall linkup play and assists, especially with Alvarez and Foden, are making up for the fact that he isn't quite as clinical as he was this time last year. I don't think he will end up with as many goals as last season, but I do think he'll end up with as many goal involvements. All things considered, if your strike is "only" scoring 2 in derbies then you're doing alright.

I've not been keeping up with this but does anyone know for sure if there is a £200m release clause on his contract? I heard there was and that we were trying to negotiate an extension to 2027 and to remove the clause... but I have no idea if this is all bollocks?

For whatever reason, him and Foden just have that "thing" when it comes to chemistry. Which really bodes well for the long term.

I luv this lad and he luvs City!

The scary thing for everyone else, is that the most feared striker in world football will only get better and that he plays for the current 3 in a row PL Champions and Treble winning, MANCHESTER CITY!

Well in the league, his goal to game ratio is currently similar to what it ended up last season, so maybe he will be more consistent throughout the season but not banging in as many hat tricks early in the season, which means he could end up with pretty much the same amount of goals, which he is on course to do.

He's currently got 11 in 10. Last season he ended up with 36 in 35 league games he played in. He's pretty much doing just as good a job as it stands, just in a different way.

He scored an obscene amount of goals really early in the season last season and then he actually dropped off quite a bit because remember he was on course to score something like 60 or 70 league goals if he kept it up?

You wouldn't rule out him going on a mad run like he did early last season, just maybe at a different point this season. Besides, he's got 5 in his last 3 including the Young Boys game. So we could be seeing the start of it?
