He made a great assist for Jack, but I maintain he should have come off.

He's physically not built for it, but he's so slow off of the ball that I feel like the rest of the team is trying to overcompensate for him. When he's not putting the ball in the net, he becomes a net-negative. Pep's refusal to ever sub him is borderline pathetic,

Time and again he stood in the box with 5 defenders between him and Doku. He jumps like a lump of lard from a standing start. He never dropped off ,he never moved toward the ball or ran out to offer Doku something that didn't require a laser guided precision missile to find him . He was about as much use as a traffic cone.

If Sterling had missed Haaland's first chance, he'd never hear the last of it, the world's best striker should put that away, every time, he even had time to trap it

The defence has no midfield protection, save Rodri, so it becomes more cruelly exposed every time the front four fail to convert.

Not a great game, should have buried at least 1 in the first half. No excuses for that and he knows it as much as anybody but despite having a relatively poor game he's still getting an assist and he was regularly wide open begging for it up against relatively weak fullbacks playing out of position that can't defend particularly well and we still refused to play him in. Criminal not to be constantly feeding him in that scenario.
