Pleased he got on the scoresheet and I thought he played well today. He made some excellent runs and as happens too often unfortunately (apart from Kev) he is not fed enough.

He is so short of confidence and probably aware of all the vitriol and negativity within the media that I think a part of him will be hoping the season finishes soon.

Just hoping it comes together finally for him against Madrid.

Played well today....scoring against a 10 man wall when he is double marked is always going to be a problem besides the chance in the very first minute but his link up play and movement was great. He again created a lot of space for the other attackers around him especially at the edge of the area as he was keeping both centre halves pinned inside the area.

Definitely better today. He was getting into positions. Although the first goal was a fluke, it was his runs in behind that caused the initial problems for them. Thought his general play was a bit tidier today.

He's getting quite a bit of stick in the media at the moment which is a bit stupid because he's top scorer in the league and has 31 goals this season in all comps, despite having two months out. Either way, the fans need to get behind him. if he is a bit affected by the negativity in the media then it's the job of fans to go behind him, not add to it. He's still a young player let's not forget.

The goals will flow again, he's got 2 in the last 2 league games. It's the life of a striker to go through rough patches now and again, but he will grind his way back into form and as has scored in the past couple of League games.

People need to remember that just because a striker has a goal ratio of almost a goal every game, it doesn't actually mean they score every game. It's just an average but there's always good patches and quiet patches within that. Its just part of the game.

Big up the lad, being able to score a pen after having a frustrating game, it takes character to do that.

Two good one-on-one chances in rather similar positions (Palace/Luton), yet he has struck the keeper with both. Just feel he needs one of these to go in and the goals will start flowing.

I think he will still finish the season on 37 goals or so and that’s a fucking good return for a ‘shit year’.

How exactly does this own goal thing work? One of the goals from Palmers "hattrick" against the rags clearly struck someone before going in and it was given to him, Doku had the same thing against Bournemouth and it wasn't given to him and today the first goal wasn't given to Haaland. It's like the rules keep changing
