He was one of the laziest fucking players I’ve ever seen live, also. Probably just bitter that he didn’t have the career his talent should have given him because he couldn’t be arsed putting the hard work in
RVV was a very talented player but what gives him the right to talk about a young player like that., especially one with the record of Earling.

Your last paragraph sums up the EH issue.
We play short intricate passes because that is the Pep way. It’s all about possession. He doesn’t encourage dribbling or speculative passes because it leaves us vulnerable to the counterattack.
i think we all agree this doesn’t suit Haaland. He needs space.
Defending deep is proving to work, so others will follow.
In those games surely it is best change things up and bring Alvarez on.
I understand what you are saying but it can work and did last year...the difference is that we had Gundo who was also a threat from midfield and a fit and firing KDB for large parts of the campaign...both of those things have been missing this year....
Our midfield should be stepping up to fill those voids - in parts it isnt...Foden has had a standout year but the rest whether it from wide or central in terms of creativity has not been great.....

Kovacic is a great player. - but he aint creative.
Grealish - I said this when we bought him...he aint creative in the same way as a KDB and never will be - his attributes are clear and what he brings to the team in terms of balance and control but in terms of creativity he hasnt been good and Im not sure that is his game
Bernardo -this is the player that confuses be. As much as he is a standout player....he again isnt creative yet you would assume he has it in him - yet we rarely see it.
Doku- an absolute livewire and its his first season and for me he has done well and hopefully will add a different attacking dimension to the team and it has been there in bits but he needs to work more on understanding the runs haaland makes.
Nunes - not really had the oppotunity to make an impact on a regular basis.

You would expect that at least a few of those players would contribute to creativity on a regular basis but every game we play without KDB it is bliningly obvious that we struggle and therefore Haaland struggles. Haaland is never going to be a Kun or Tevez, creating goals out of nothing or half chances or for himself as those two did....he needs service...

When we lost int he derby at OT last year (with the Rashford offside goal) I said it then...they stiffled the service to Haaland and he struggled....that will always be the case when teams do that.

Replacing KDB is probably the biggest thing we have had to do int he last decade in terms of players.... and this is one main reason why i thikn we should be looking now this summer even if KDB stays another season cause the signs are there that he is starting to wain a lilttle (even though he is still world class) - especially in the biggest of matches.

I don't know what's going on with him. He looks short of confidence currently. Hopefully, that penalty gets him going before Wednesday.
